The Instant Messaging Giant, WhatsApp is geared up to launch its business version soon. It is planning to finally monetize its messaging app by charging large enterprise businesses for tools to better communicate with customers. The idea behind this launch is that the enterprise solution will allow global companies to provide useful notifications like flight times, delivery confirmations, and other updates to customers. A green tick will be shown next to the contact’s name to show that WhatsApp has verified that the stated phone number belongs to that business account.
With various companies like Bharti Airtel, Flipkart and Food Panda already using Twitter and Facebook for customer service, it’ll be interesting to know what new WhatsApp will bring to the game. In India, they are currently testing these tools with 1mg and BookMyShow.
This is what WhatsApp’s COO, Matt Idema had to say “We are looking forward to making it possible for people to connect with businesses in a fast and personal way, and giving businesses the tools to make that easier to do.”
Here is a list of some of the features Whatsapp will bring to its users and how you can benefit from it…
